Print the Rainbow
Every employee at Formlabs is allowed unlimited, free 3D printing, just one of many perks that come with working at the Boston 3D printer company. I decided to take on an ambitious project to begin my internship -- develop an entirely new printing process and make something beautiful while I'm at it. At first, I decided to mix a fixed amount of Formlabs Color Pigment with Clear v4 Resin*, producing a semi-transparent clear part. The entire installation was produced in a single Formlabs LT Tank using a continuous gradient process that I developed. This installation is mounted in the Formlabs Cafeteria next to the main office kitchen.

*Formlabs does not recommend users add anything to resin that is not explicitly validated and sold as a product. This project was performed with an old Form 2 with extensive training and supervision of Formlabs Engineers. Please do not try this with your Formlabs printer!
